11 Comments on I’m Hot!- No... I am really Hot- Heat in Attics
great post Don - informative, yet with a touch of humor and a photo - very effective blog technique that will help you build your book of business. hope you have a regular email newsletter that goes out too with info like this. it's perfect length.
Randy, Thank you. Sometimes a little humor makes the job a tad bit easier. Needless to say it makes it a little bit more fun ; )
Yikes, is it even safe to work in heat like that Donald? That seems a little extreme to me.
Hi Donald,
I had a post the other day that talked about the temps in the attic at time of inspection was 144 plus.
I did'nt stay very long. But I did find a lot of issues. Codes need to bump up venting requirments.
Stay cool my friend.
Best, Clint McKie
Malcolm, You do not want to stay up there for a very long time ; ) Staying hydrated is the key.
Clint, You know that can not be good for any associated wiring in the attic space. Let alone for the Lonely inspector ; )
I found several issue also, that's why we go ;)
You get temps probally even higher than me. Though we are moving into the hottest period for us. August usually will bring some 100+ degree days. Those attics will just be so much fun.
Don, that makes me sweat just thinking about it.
Same here, I think I am sweating again. Yikes I stink ; )
One today the seller had carefully cut and placed bat fiberglass over each of the soffit vent openings to keep that pesky cold air out!
Yepper, it was hot!
Jay, That was so nice of them to do that for you ; ) That would make it supper hot.
A trounce through a hot attic is a good way to shed a few pounds :)
Jim, So true and makes man(or woman) very thirsty ; )
