A Congregation of Drunken Lamp Shades - Speechless Sundays

Orange County Fair

I'm sure you've seen the lampshade on the head bit in many movies.  To me, this was a whole different take on lampshades.

As we were wandering through the visual arts area of the Orange County Fair, I happened to glance up and see this collection.

So, what do you think when you see a conglomeration of lampshades floating overhead?

Hi Christine,

The crazy thing is- most of them work, but they don't have the lamp stand.

Certainly a different take on lampshades!

Hi Christine,

Very artsy but not my cup of tea for sure. Reminds me of a Alice in Wonderland dream where things are moving and floating around. Thanks for sharing and they are very colorful and like Phil said, they work!

Christine,

Very different way to be seeing lampshades. They are "lit." :)

Christine -- I think that looks very cool but also like a strong wind came through that fair messed up the display.

Tom - I didn't much know what to make of it either.

Phil - I don't know how they work, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the cords that are attached.

Kristin - It is kind of like Alice in Wonderland.

Pat - I just have to ask, why are they wobbling?

Steve - LOL! And, thanks for the feature.

Barbara - It would have been a very strong wind to get in the building.
