Good morning Bill - great message today! Thanks for the motivation and inspiration!
For me the most impressive words in this post are: But she didn’t quit.
How many people quit with a lot less reason than she had... good for her and may her actions be an inspiration to all "the quitters."
Get some sleep tonight, and rock the market tomorrow!
Thanks all for your great comments.
Great inspiration as we go into the late summer months. It doesn't have to be a slow time of year just because others say it is.
What is that saying? Winner's don't quit and quitters don't win!
Wonderful words of inspiration. The picture of Dana is cool. She is from my hometown of Granbury, Texas.
I was thinking the very same thing last night.... If I work as hard at my business as the Olympians do at theirs, maybe I'll win gold too! I wish the best to all of you Active Rainers too!
Thanks Tiffany, it's been great!
Amen Margaret!
Cheryl , no truer words have ever been spoken!
Paula so we know you are rooting for the home town girl!
Shanna, that's the truth for all of us!
Bill - My kids were competitive swimmers. They swam at Arden Hills, which is the swim club where Mark Spitz trained. The club boasted 31 Olympic medals - 21 of them Gold. Olympics time always garnered excitement at Arden Hills. I remember 1980, when the U.S. boycotted the Moscow Olympics because they had invaded Afghanistan. We had one swimmer (Jeff Float) who missed out on that Olympiad, but was able to continue training and get Gold at the L.A. Olympics in 1984. I love the games. . .But it was hard to top the Opening Ceremonies and having the Queen and Bond jumping out of a helicoptor:-)
I loved this post! I'm definitely going for the GOLD and the SOLD! Yeah. That was cheesy. Congrats on the feature and thanks for the inspiration.
Mryl, wow that's some Olympic history! I liked the comedian.
Cheesy but funny. Thanks for the comments.
She is a great inspiration and a person who is important to bring up with we, our friends, colleagues etc. have challenges.
"What makes this so amazing is four years ago she didn’t even make the team and was so disappointed and distraught she thought seriously about quitting and never competing again."
Dream big, and learn from failures. Don't quit. Keep on going.
Set your GOALS and go for the GOLD. I truly agree with you. Everything is possible if you give your all with it. If you visualize defeat you will not achieve your goal. Thanks for this inspirational words.
Bill - Deam big dreams and then take responsibilty for making them happen. I like that.
Joan she's an inspiration to us all!
Erica, I agree with you it's important to dream big and learn from your failures.
Thanks Mike, everything IS possible!
Thanks Christine, nothing more important than accepting responsibility.
Thanks Bill, we all have to go for the gold each & every hour of each day. Here's another point, Michael Phelp's came in 2nd place in one race last night. He floated in while the guy in 1st place gave an extra 1/2 strok & pushed to get to the finish line (the wall). We need to give our extra push and not float in. To get the gold, push and push and push.
