As I have remained glued to my TV over these past few days watching the Olympics, I am always inspired by the stories of these athletes.  

Each and every athlete has a story!  Some of the stories are very moving!   Hours and hours of practice and dedication have been put forth in order for them to stand where they are at this moment.

While we may never receive a gold medal for our efforts in real estate, I am however inspired by many in this business.  The gold medal winners in real estate in my mind are the champions who tirelessly work on deals that may or may not pay off.  They take care of their clients going above and beyond on most occasions.

Real estate today takes complete dedication, true grit and a whole lot of stamina!  Hours and hours of practice, school of hard knocks,and pounding the pavement are required.  This business is not for the faint of heart.

As we have discovered with the struggles in the economy and how they have directly affected our business, the true Olympic spirit of the many agents of whom have stayed focused through tough times is truly inspiring.  The stories of those agents who did not give up and kept the flame burning are the agents today who are thriving and prospering.

Real estate is not a sprint.  This business is a slow and steady marathon race.  Keeping the pace steady and on track is key!  So here is to you all of the dedicated GOLD MEDAL Real estate professionals!  My your light continue to shine on no matter what!

Thanks you all.  I have needed the diversion of the Olympics.  Keeps my spirits up as well.  It is good to see all of these countries coming together to participate together in such an inspiring fashion.  Can't get enough of it.

Real estate today takes complete dedication, true grit and a whole lot of stamina!   You said it!  That is true of a lot of entrpreneurs, but real estate was hit hard.

Paula~ Well said.  I truly is a marathon.  It's something you need to continually work out to succeed.  We started out the year strong, had a bit of a lull and now business is picking up again and it feels SO good!

Very well said, Paula. It has been quite a rough road the last five years but the ones of us still showing up and working hard every day are feeling more and more we're in this boat together. So many people nowadays share ideas and information so freely. We have such a camaraderie, a pulling together and helping one another. Thank you for such a positive, inspirational post.

very true some of us have stellar years when we go beyond what we have ever achieved in business then sometimes just like an athlete we suffer with injury due to slow economy, foreclosures or personal defeats.  In the end I think it is the home buyer who deserves the medal because the waiting and endurance of a closing is worth an award and the happy smiles

Morning Ms. Paula and congrats the feature as it should be.  We have agents that show up and work hard for a week or two and then they are gone for a month on longer and they wonder why they can't sell anything or get that listing.
