I recently wrote a post about my Dad’s new animal hospital – Crossroads Pet Clinic opening in the Northern Neck. It wasn’t a localism post, the Northern Neck is 2.5 hours from Alexandria, Virginia but, was important to me because I’m proud of my Dad. I also hoped some of his former clients from Tysons Corner would see it and know he was starting another chapter. He owned Tysons Corner Animal Hospital for over 30 years and needless to say made many lifetime clients and friends.
My phone has been ringing off the hook for the past two weeks – people who want to know when Crossroads Pet Clinic is officially open, others asking if there are job openings, and some vendors trying to locate Dr. Davidson to see if he could use their services. It’s a small town and the response to a new business has been amazing.
I’d love this type of response on my Northern Virginia localism posts but, I’ll take the reinforcement that blogging on ActiveRain makes the phone ring. A little encouragement to keep the blogging juices flowing is always welcome! You just never know which post is going to prompt someone to give you a call.
It also got me thinking...there could be opportunity in the Northern Neck. The overwhelming response to this blog tells me that not many agents there are blogging or getting the word out about town events and local businesses. Perhaps there is expansion in Living A Dream Real Estate’s future J
