Fresco Community Market Gives Back
Fresco Community Market gives back to the community. On Saturday, July 28, the Los Angeles Times published an article regarding Jon Murga, the local owner of Fresco Community Market and the independent store’s commitment of giving back to the greater community. The article reported that the Murga went to an unlikely place to find some of his store’s employees when he opened his grocery store in 2011: Los Angeles’ skid row.
As a customer of this store, I can firsthand report that the all of the employees I have encountered at Fresco are friendly, knowledgeable and ready-to-help. If you are in the Hermon area, stop by Fresco Community Market. The store serves the Hermon, Highland Park, Garvanza, Mount Angelus, Montecito Heights, South Pasadena and adjacent communities. They are located just east of the 110 Freeway at 5914 Monterey Road between Avenue 60 and Via Marisol, phone 323.274.1040.
