As a Pittsburgh Steeler and Carolina Panther fan, this has been a very difficult NFL football season for me to watch. If it wasn't for a certain Southern Mississippi Quarterback, I would have been suffering from football withdrawal throughout the fall of 2007.

On Sunday and over the next three weeks, Brett Favre has an opportunity to place his face on the Mount Rushmore of NFL Quarterbacks. (I'd be willing to debate with you on the four faces.)

Since I am not a writer by nature or employment, I cannot do Brett Favre's career any justice through this blog. I will just leave it at this........

There are two betting rules that have been taught to me in my 36 years on this earth......

1. On the Roulette wheel, ALWAYS BET ON BLACK.


2. DON'T BET AGAINST #4.


Attention Fans of the New England Patriots, Tom Brady is THE Generation Y quarterback. There is no debating this point. However, there are forces working here that Tom Brady's smile and persona can't defeat. You are correct. You are going to witness history!




However, it's not the history that was expected by you.


Brett - Thanks for reminding Generation X about the fun that was shared playing sandlot football with our childhood friends. You might not have the most rings. But, you are OUR AMERICAN IDOL QUARTERBACK!
