As adults, we should not have to be told this. As children, we didn't need to be told. We knew and we did it naturally and often some of us more than others. Parents, teachers and other grown adult people who don't have the time or the patience to participate, support and engage curious children take the easy way out. They shut them up
SHUT UP...NOT ANOTHER WORD
They put them off, excuse themselves, ignore, procrastinate the opportunity, or using fear or intimidation to bring many inquiries in some children to a halt. When a child experiences the lack of support or is clearly discouraged from asking questions and seeking answers, they oblige and give in and then begin another journey which was not their destiny
LET'S HAVE DISCUSSION
Fast forward to today and visit with some of the colleges. You have young adults and mature individuals in class being lectured by professors who do ask them questions and want participation even making it a part of their grade too. However, the programming received to keep quiet is at work robbing everyone who obeys it
OUTBURSTS
Some people find their voice and struggle with it acting out their long dormant quietude by finally bringing it to a halt and launching an explosion. They yell, scream, and learn to manipulate and become rude just to be heard. The fact is that they cannot keep it inside any longer.
MAKING YOUR SELF SICK
People who go all their lives living this unnatural silence put a tremendous stress on their well being affecting their body organs as well as their mental, emotional, psychological, and spiritual health. Typically they are full of rage and hostility which is suppressed anger and resentments eating them away from the inside out. THIS IS NOT meant to be
THE CURE
PARENTS: Listen to your children and encourage them to speak, be heard, express, share and participate in everything. It starts at home and then gets practiced everywhere. What price can you put on a healthy centered functional child...YOUR CHILD doing well?
SENIORS: You have a right to speak up, and to demand an answer on respect alone. Also, if you don't like the answers given then pursue your subject matter until you are satisfied. Do not let anyone intimidate you for whatever reason. Stop going along to get along too. Speak up clearly, gently, politely but firmly making your wants known
CHILDREN: Learn and believe that your opinions, thoughts, feelings and observations are valid, interesting, exciting and allowed. Make allowances for those around you who are swept up into the worlds responsibilities or are practicing or acting out their dysfunctional learned behaviors from theri parents. Also, I encourage you to read and make notes and explore to your hearts content anything that comes your way.
WIVES: Pursue gently but firmly to establish interaction, family time, support ,nurturing and encouragement to your spouse as he may be out there being tested to the limits. Make a safe place for him at home to have rest, relaxation and lots of you. Vice verce
HUSBANDS: Love unconditionally, make allowances, go out of your way, inquire often and spend quality time with your helpmate promoting her well being and being a trusted friend and protector all the while letting her be herself and having the liberty that goes with it. Remember too that anytime spent with the other HALF of your life is an investment of the highest order. Invest wisely
