Even though American Homebuyers are being slow to take advantage of record low interest rates, and falling home prices, Foreign Investors are not. This is because United States Real Estate is looked upon by the rest of the world as a safe investment, especially when compared to what is happening economically throughout most of the rest of the world.
As a result several U.S. cities have benefited. Among the top cities that have seen the most activity are:
- New York
- San Francisco
- Washington, D.C.
- Chicago
- Los Angeles
- Miami
- Minneapolis
- Phoenix
The above cities are not listed in any particular order, but they are among the leaders.
If Foreign Investor are finding U.S. Real Estate to be an attractive investment, it can't be long before U.S. Investors jump on that band wagon as well. It would be nice if American Homebuyers came to the realization that this is the time that they should be purchasing instead of waiting, but in the mean time maybe the Foreign Investors will give our Real Estate Market a little boost.

3 Comments on U.S. Real Estate Very Attractive To Foreign Investors
George, i hear that from realtors especially in NY & FL that tell me that foreigners are coming in and buying like crazy so you have to wonder what is wrong with U.S. citizens except that they have not learned how to budget & save...
George - this is really interesting. I had no idea. I hope that buyers in the US don't miss this great opportunity to buy.
What has changed. This is still the only real safe haven for foreign investment. Another reason our bonds are being purchased by foreign money.
Great post!
