MUD CREEK NATURAL BORDERS DOG PARK, PATCHOGUE, NY 11772
There is a new dog park that I just discovered, although, it's been open since September of 2009. There are no chain link fences here or any other man-made barriers. It's known as a natural borders dog park and it faces the Great South Bay.
I don't know if they have them in other states but it's the first of it's type on Long Island. It's a Suffolk County pilot project.It's use is being monitored and refinements may have to be made along the way. Visitors are required to bring in their own drinking water and plastic bags for waste disposal.
Chloe has never been swimming before but she definitely enjoyed the freedom. Luckily, she never ventured far from shore. It was a very tranquil outing. I can't wait to get back.
