Great photos and really like Jack's comment :)
Kristin, we might have different opinions and we must understand where they're coming from, even if we don't we still need to respect each other's opinion.
I enjoyed looking at the pictures! The 3rd one with the birds, are they fighting or are they kissing?
Hi Jack,
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I hope I did help get rid of your headache. I did not put a picture in my post but one monkey was so disturbed that he was hitting his head against the window of his enclosed pen. I bet he had a headache later.
Hi John,
I liked Jack's comments too. Thanks for stopping by and hope your week has started off great.
Hi Regina ,
I certainly agree with you completely. We must respect each other regardless of differences. All of the animals were fighting and the Flamingos are pretty nasty fighters. You can hear them bickering with each other and they are loud.
Kristin, actually, these guys look pretty civilized compared to some of the stuff we humans do to each other.
Hi Patricia,
I am sure their is a lot of fighting we do not see at the zoo as they probably move them if they are agressive but yes you are so right too about humans not being so civilized. Thanks for stopping by to comment. I think we should take a hard look at the wild animals and see how they work things out without lawsuits and extreme force.
I have to say this hit a big chord with me. The buyers I have been dealing with lately make me want to bang my head against the wall repeatedly. They want to see 100 homes before they will make a decision, then they lowball and dig in their heels. Even though the comps clearly show that they are off by about 5%. Getting people to be reasonable has become the exception not the rule.
Hi Ruthmarie,
I am glad you enjoyed my article. I have had difficult buyers too and they just don't get it about the price. If they get rejected so many times, they usually figure out that the low ball offers just do not get accepted. Plus when they stall, they loose out on great homes to other buyers. Hopefully they will become reasonable and you will get them a lovely home at a fair price.
I am always amazed when they are in such a rush and then all of a sudden when you find that perfect house, they get hard to reach and slow down and hem and hah!
Hi William, It is a wonderful place and I enjoy going every few years but will make it more often as they have some new construction going on right now so next spring will be exciting as well. I agree, everytime we go, we see something new that has been there but just didn't see it before?
I like this peacock that was walking up on the roof as you come in.
I think (as your pics show) its just part of reality human and animals.
Oh and yes I see more conflict recently, is it something in the air???
Hi David,
I have been studying crime for many years and the crime stats had started going down in southern Calfornia about 3 years years ago due to increased patrol and clearing cold cases but recently the crime is increasing again in this area. Don't know what it might be but perhaps due to layoffs and furloughs plus more foreclosures recently.
I am not sure if it is in the air or just our environment
Kristin - I'm pretty sure that I must be related to that monkey! There's that old saying .... we keep hitting our heads against the wall because it feels so good when we stop!
Hi Jack,
You are so funny and yes I am sure it does feel good when we stop butting our heads. Take an aspirin and call me in the morning.
Kristin,
Looking at that first shot all I can think of is "ouch." :)
Steve
Hi Steve,
And those little guys are solid muscle maybe 80 lbs and moving fast at each other. I am sure it hurt both of them.
Kristin,
I'll bet it did too. The question is did the ground shake? :)
Steve
Kristin,
Congratulations. Your post is now featured in "Silent Saturday." :)
Steve
Hi Steve,
I don't know if the ground shook but they were sure mad and fighting. But when we walked by a few hours later they were all napping and happy again. They don't hold grudges like people do!
Thanks for the feature in your Silent Saturday group.
