10 Comments on We Should All Start The Day Looking Pressed and Pretty
Good point, even though I work from home most days I know I'm more productive when I get dressed than when I sit in front of my computer in my jammies.
Strong points and I agree when in the public view dress the part.
You never know when the next client is standing in front of you.
Make yourself a great day.
Hi Belinda -- another great example of "perception equals reality".
Hello Belinda, I guess the guy across the hall needs to dress up more, he was just telling me yesterday, he has gone 2 weeks with just wearing shorts to the office but had a closing on Tues and needed to wear pants.
This is a hard balance for me. When I am out and about in the business world, I think I dress very well. However, when it is a weekend for just the family, I will be at Lowes in my sweat shorts and T with hair pulled in bun and it always happens- what do you do for a living? Argh. And when i do dress up on my time off...Nothing, lol! But, yes...in the professional environment we should always look our best...and even if the non-professional world in my case!
When we are working , we should definitely be dressed like we are. Even if it's business casual, something a notch up from casual.
Belinda, It is sad to me to see the agents in general dress down so much you can't find the professional looking person in the room. I agree with what you have said but fear it is landing on deaf ears.
Dressing appropriately means something different to everyone but I do agree with you Belinda. When a person dresses up, the results are positive and it also may improve people's moods!
I agree that when you are out and about you should look professional; at home, I like the freedom of casual dress.
Good point, nicely made Belinda! It's a challenge to choose clothes to fit the profession, but that we can actually work in, too-wander around yards in the heat, walk through damp and humid basements, etc. Tailored black tshirts and khaki capris seem to be an effective summer uniform for me this year.
