This month saw 9 homes sold in New Milford compared with 9 sold in June, and is up from 5 sold in July last year.  Home Sales are in full swing right now in Bergen County, and mortgage rates continue to hover under 4% for 30 yr fixed rates.

Considered the "Birthplace of Bergen County", New Milford was settled in the 1600s, but wasnt incorporated until 1922. New Milford has a mix of single family homes and apartments, and also is home to more than a dozen Historic Homes. One noteworthy feature is the historic New Bridge Landing State Park, where George Washington led his troops against the British during the Revolutionary War !

Nowadays, New Milford has a desirable blend of business and residences, and a reputable school system, including a large athletic complex behind Borough Hall on River Road.
