Great expectations were in the air this morning as markets awaited word from the European Central Bank and the Bank of England (otherwise known as the "Old Lady of Threadneedle Street") to what their policy meetings would yield.  As it turns out Great Expectations turned out to be just a Dickens novel as there were no new develpments announced regarding the saving of the Euro at any cost.  The uncertainty continued and, as you know, equity markets disdain uncertainty.  The Dow after having been down over 160 points during the day,  closed down a mere 92 points.
