WEST END OF LONG BEACH, NY

The West End of Long Beach is probably one of the most interesting places you can find in the entire Long Beach, NY area. This area is quickly becoming the trendiest section of town. What was once a community made up primarily of summer bungalows has now been transformed into a vibrant community featuring an extensive variety of restaurants and bars and also some great shopping.

The biggest allure is most certainly the amazing beaches that can be found in the Long Beach Area. Although parking has always been an issue in the West End Of Long Beach, this area certainly is very walkable. There is no reason that you can walk or bike around the area and it is certainly more enjoyable. It is hard to walk around the town and not see an abundance of surfers towing their surfboards on their bikes or skateboarding to the beach surfboard in hand. If you are looking for a beach town which is located under an hour from New York City, there is no better place to explore than Long Beach, NY.

Most of homes are found in the area are either bungalows or hi ranches. Most of these homes were built primarily in the 1920's. Many have been beautifully renovated and most have become year round residences. I remeber as a kid that most were summer only and many did not have heat.

Long Beach is very accessible by car or Long Island Rail Road.
