13 Comments on Florida Nature: Ready to Leave the Nest
Hello Silvia, So do you find homes for the empty nesters, sounds more like the young ones needs new home.
What a great shot of such an adorable little guy! So different from anything we have around here!
Gretchen
Hi Silvia, thank you for showing me an Osprey up close! I believe that must be the closest I've ever seen one! Those claws and the beak are no joke!
Silvia, loved the analogy of Empty Nesters and the Osprey great picture BTW. Hope we get a lot of Empty Nesters soon:))
Gretchen, thank you, glad you like this "baby"!
Andrea, you are right, now imagine being a fish about to be caught by these talons!
Endre, thanks, we probably will, the last wave of the Babyboomers is getting ready to retire and the next generation is coming of age as well!
Hi Sylvia,
Great photo and so clever. Thanks for sharing some great information as well. Happy Friday.
We have these guys all over our coast and are so lucky! Dunedin even has them on a video cam feed!
Cute little tyke, isn't it:-) I love the way he still has his baby feathers atop his head! I'm amazed that you were close enough to get that great of a picture!
Hi Silvia,
What a great shot and message too! You have a great camera and you were quick to get this great photograph too! Good for you!
Florida has such magnificent beauty. I can understand now why the bird didn't fly away, it doesn't want to leave either!
