Passion! What is yours? Mine is residential real estate sales.

Real Estate Agent with HomeSmart

One of the strongest passions I have ever experienced in my life was representing buyers and sellers in purchasing homes. First in the late 1970's in Columbus Ohio. Where in just six months while working a full time job, and being new in real estate I was fortunate to successfully sell 12 homes. Sales is an unique area of life, and real estate sales is even more unique. The numbers are something like about seven out of 10 who get a real estate license are out of the business within a year.

Since becoming a Realtor in Phoenix Arizona in April 1980 my passion has continued, in good markets and in bad markets. It is so interesting to see people come into the business and to listen to what they say, to the questions they ask, and to watch in most cases you can almost tell they are not going to be successful at this. Maybe it is the passion is missing in their life. Passion! What is yours? Mind is residential real estate sales

Just this week an agent who has been in the business about a year, said: "I am uncomfortable making telephone calls" my immediate response was: "you need to get out of the business." Just last month I had invited this person to a Toastmaster meeting, to which she attended and went on with her life not recognizing what so ever the advantages and benefits of being in Toastmasters, something that began in 1924, and there are clubs all around the world.

#1 complaint about Realtors according to NAR is: "non-communications" and that is my #1 asset. When you call 602 570 2442 if I do not answer, the message is: "I WILL RETURN YOUR CALL, NORMALLY, WITHIN 3 TO 59 MINUTES" Passion! What is yours? Mine is residential real estate sales.

I am never too busy for your referrals

I recall a new agent commented at a staff meeting, "I could never ask anyone how much money they make".

Hi got over it.

I love that "3 to 59 minutes" message. What a way to give people confidence that you WILL call back.

Passion is a wonderful thing - and makes it easy to get out of bed and off to work each day. Pity the people who get up and go with zero passion for what they're doing.
