Hi Lloyd ~ Yes, it was fun to see the post about my hometown Carmel :-) And thanks for your suggestion about prospecting high-producing listing agents who may need staging information. I'm glad to hear that you found your stager by finding her card in a staged home!
Hi again. Between your HGTV shows and Stager of the Year award, I'm guessing you have as much business as you can handle. And I'm quite certain you're aware of the following, but I'll mention the obvious: when I preview or show a staged home that knocks my socks off (and yours would), I look for the stagers business card or other identification.
I have a feeling you could teach us Realtors how to get more business. You main point--understanding where leads come from--is well taken. Good work and have a great Portland week.
Hi Maureen --- I always ask this question whether it be a phone/email inquiry or at an open house. I've yet to hear someone say "Active Rain" but by the description of "online" and their references to certain posts, I know my membership is paying off.
Hi Lloyd ~ Thanks for your kind words. I'd like nothing more than to have an enlightened Realtor like you in my area :-)
Hi Michael ~ It's the same with me; while my AR profile doesn't rank as high as my own website, it certainly contributes and important component in the overall ranking. And as you said, people get to know us by what we write in our AR blogs posts. It's a great method of getting the word out about our businesses!
Hi Maureen, I didn't think about Angie's List. Most of my clients are form referrals, the rest are form online presentation.
Maureen - I just talked with Audrey from HSR about blogging on AR. She asked how do you find the time. I told her I make time because prior to building my new website, all I did was blog on Active Rain and link it to my website. It put my website on the top of page one of Google. Thanks for the tip on Angies's list. I should register with them - what a great source of jobs!
Hi Anna ~ It's good to know where your past clients have come from so that you can focus your time on marketing where it helps you the most.
Hi Kris ~ Check into Angie's List but remember, one of your clients has to recommend you to them ... you cannot register yourself. They are a great source of new business because Angie's list members love to read the reviews and choose the best provider for their projects.
Most of my business right now has been coming from the internet. Sellers doing their research and finding me online. Thank you ActiveRain!!
Maureen, it is important to know where you business comes from, so to plan for future business! Good job!
Hi Sharon ~ Isn't it great that our internet presence has grown so much, partly due to what we've learned on AR?
Hi Joan ~ You're right ... we need to know so we can grow!
Maureen! What great info! I'm going to have to take a look at Angie's list! I also never thought of the search engine term they put into Google! I just assumed it was 'home stagers in XYZ'... Thanx for sharing!
Hi Peg ~ Glad that you found some helpful tips here. It's important to know how people have found you, so that you can spend time expanding that particular resource.
Maureen - thanks for the information on Angie's list and I can see how it would be a great way to bring in more clients. BTW - I mentioned you in my post today...
Hi Kris ~ Thanks for the very kind mention in your post today! That was so nice of you :-)
Have a great weekend and be sure to have your camera in hand to capture the special moments that you will want to share.
Hi Roy ~ Thanks for leaving your comment and your gorgeous flower photo!! What a treat :-)
Maureen, I am still amazed by how many phone calls come in because they found me on Google! And what gives me such great Google Juice? Blogging on ActiveRain, of course (although I haven't been so active lately!)
Thanks for putting a "bug in my ear" to get me motivated again to resume my blogs!
Hi Kathleen ~ Nice to see you back in the Rain again :-)) Keep at the blogging bit, it does help local clients find you. Like you I need to get back into more regular blogging to keep the Google juice coming!!
