Mark H. Peikin practiced in the area of energy law with a focus on energy projects, including on-site cogeneration, energy-related management installations, alternative/renewable energy, and energy conservation measures, including carbon trading. He has experience with energy-related project financings, corporate structuring and securities offerings. He has represented alternative energy as well as new technology and innovative marketing companies with mergers and acquisitions, including leveraged buy-outs;
transition from private to public markets, including over the counter bulletin boards, AMEX, NASDAQ and AIM; and financings involving some of the most widely recognized investment banks, venture capital, private equity and hedge funds. Mr. Peikin provides project advice to energy services companies, building owners and large retailers with regard to strategies to reduce energy costs, increase energy efficiency, and concerning eligibility for federal and state incentives programs. He regularly drafts the contracts pertaining to these projects.
Mr. Peikin also practices in the area of risk mitigation by insurance and financial products. Prior to his law practice, Mr. Peikin was director of retail sales for one of the largest distributors of Italian clothing and accessories in the United States.
