William

A magnificent photo. It reminds me of the churches and cathedrals in Europe that are so photogenic. I'd love to see it in person.

William, I don't think I can think of a more delightful couple of hours than a cup of coffee and perusing your archives.  This is the quintessential perfect shot of a cathedral as we all imagine them to be.

Hi William,

Wow what a striking photograph of this cathedral. I love all the historical places in California and San Diego is right up there with San Francisco. Thanks for sharing.

There is a certain aura about many churches around the globe, which simply capture the imagination.  I get it when I look at this picture of St. Pat's.  I also got it at Westminster Abbey in London.  When I look at churches built in the past, I often find myself saying, they don't build them like they use to!

William,

I am with Myrl on this one.  Am I right to assume that this is NYC St. Patrick's Cathedral?  I also think that St Peter's Basilica and all the Italian duomos, (Florence, Milan) my favorites and the great cathedals of France give you the feeling of amazement, since they were built without the tools and machinery we have today.  Thanks for sharing your archives. A
