Here is an excellent tool that will help everyone create images for the web.....re-size photos and more that is VERY simple to use and does not contain any additional software. Image Re-Sizer

You can use the tool to re-size images in standard, predefined images sizes ( Small, Medium and Large). If you are using to re-size photos for the web, fliers etc. I would recommend using the medium setting.

For creating web images in smaller sizes, click the advanced tab and re-size to the requirements that you need. You can create great ads in WORD or other programs and then "save as" or "export" as a .jpg or .gif image type. From there, you would simply open the folder with the image, right click and scroll to the "re-size image tab" (After installing the image re-size tool, of course). From there, click the advanced tab and re-size to the specified size. After you try it once, it will be a breeze to use!

Here is a solution to an annoyance that I see across the web:

Have you seen an image that is "stretched" or "squashed"? This is because the image was not uploaded in the correct size. All you have to do is make sure that you original image is about the same shape as the image you want to see and then re-size to the correct image parameters. How do you know what size to upload? Right click an existing image  at the site you want to upload to, scroll to properties and left click. The image size will be displayed. Simply re-size your image to that size using the image re-size tool and the advanced settings.

I hope this helps!

Anyone may re-post this as long as you link back here or, to my profile.

Jonathan

Thanks for this tool...it's so easy.  In fact, I just resized a whole bunch of photos by selecting all of them, right clicking and selecting re-size pictures.  It was so easy.  I LOVE it.

I am awaiting my new notebook and it is coming with Vista Business.  Has anyone found a fix for the compatibility issue yet?
