In Florida, a mother-in-law suite can be a huge selling feature. It is very common for families to have an aging parent or family member living with them. Mother-in-law suites are also fabulous for older children (teenagers or young adults). Unfortunately when they become the "spare bedroom" they often start to look more like storage rooms.

Sharon - Thank you. Yes. We know the seller still lives here and with the market being what it is, is probably selling their home for less than they paid for it. We want to keep things simple both with their budget and living in the home until it sells.

Well done Melissa.  I'm sure many of us are guilty of making our guest room a storage room, or at the very  least a room with a dual function.  One of our guest bedrooms doubles as my home office.  We have a futon for overnight guests.
