Motivational Power Quote

The Inner Drive to Get Ahead

“Getting ahead in a difficult profession requires faith in yourself.

That is why some people with mediocre talent, but with great inner drive, go much further then people with vastly superior talent.”

 Sophia Loren, actress

As I see it . . . . . . .

The inner drive to get ahead

Inner drive is your personal super charger and when you need a little boost, it will come to the surface and kick in to create the extra energy to propel you forward.

We all have inner drive, it becomes a question if you draw on it to propel you forward or if it remains dormant within you without its spark being ignited.

With inner drive you will push past a person who relies on superior talent and lacks the inner drive or the will to use it.

Inner drive will move you to climb the mountain of opportunity or break down the walls of obstacles that you encounter and to make the extra effort when you would like to quit.

The little difference that will make a big difference on your success journey is your inner drive to get ahead. When you kick it in everything becomes possible and within your reach.

Unfortunately my inner drive is always in over-drive, Lou!  Any suggestions on how to break the workaholic disease?!!

Lou:  Unfortunately, you know as well as I do, that some folks who have an intense "inner drive" end up turning it into a steamroller.  Although a functioning inner drive can be an asset... an unfettered inner drive rarely ends up being a good thing.

I completey believe in that thought process. I have so often seen folks with much less talent, succeed over someone because of their inner drive. It is a great lesson.

Lou,

Who knew that Sophia Loren was a smart as she was beautiful. Talent, combined with an inner drive is an unbeatable combination.

Lou, execution of a plan is more important then the plan itself! Inner drive propels execution! Enjoy your day!

I think that is true in any profession...what one deems easy, another may think is hard....either way, drive is required
