We're No Threat To The PBA Bowlers, But The Kitties Like Us Anyway!
Last night was the annual Thundercat Alley fundraiser to raise money for Ohio Alleycat Resource and Spay/Neuter Clinic. First off, THANKS to all the sponsors who helped us and approximately 50 others raise money for this no kill shelter! OAR conducts literally thousands and thousands of low cost spay/neuter operations on feral and stray cats each year. It's a needed service and there's no shortage of Cincinnati area (and beyond) cats in need of help.
They've adopted out over 150 cats so far this year and they're filled to the brim with other cats and kittens in need of homes. So last night was a fun opportunity to help them out with a few hours of trying to knock down some pins at Stone Lanes in Norwood. We went down to the basement and brushed the dust off our bowling bags (it's been about 5-6 years since we bowled couples league).
OAR had raffles to raise some extra money, some T-shirts & car magnets for sale, and a lot of people there to have a good time. There were gutter balls galore with many rookie bowlers there to support the kitties.
With 6 of us on a lane, we had just enough time to get in two games before our time was up! Good thing all our sponsors were donating on a flat fee donation rather than a per pin donation!
We'll be back next year to do it again!
