The 2012 Delta County Fair and Rodeo is Underway...Don't Miss The Fun. You can feel the excitement in the air as the fair gets closer. The Delta County Fair and Rodeo is something Delta County residents look forward to every year. This area has really strong agricultural ties, and is known for it's wonderful fruit and other fresh produce. The Delta County Fair and Rodeo is a perfect place for residents to showcase their hard work...not only of produce, but livestock, quilting and other arts and crafts. I look forward to the photography display every year.

Delta County Fair and Rodeo The 2012 fair starts on August 5 and runs through the 11th. Many events are planned including a demolition derby, tractor pull and rodeo.

The highlight of the Delta County Fair and Rodeo is the livestock barn. This is where our local youth get to show off their hard work. Other local youth projects can be seen at Heritage Hall near the fairgrounds in Hotchkiss.

The fair takes place every year at the Hotchkiss Fairgrounds. For a full list of events pick up a Delta County Fairbook. These are all over our small mountain towns at various businesses. You can also call the Delta County Extension office at 970-874-2195.

Hi Debbie - There's a subtle but real difference between the truly rural fairs and the one's over here - there's a lot of urban influence here that changes the feel of the event and makes it a lot less like the one's we remember as children. I'd rather go to the one in Delta County.
