"Just Doing It"

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Turner Real Estate Group

People follow people.  You have heard me say it over and over.  Here is one to think about.  Ever sat in a restaurant with family or friends and everyone looks at each other asking the same question…What are you getting.  Most people find it challenging to make decisions.  Many of us order the same thing over and over in the same restaurants.  It’s good yea but mostly were afraid of ordering something different and not liking it.  It’s a risk.

Why do we do this?  From a small child we are moved, placed and told what, when and how to do things.  We never want to be embarrassed by our actions, we never want to be laughed at.  We always want and need to be accepted by others.  That said, we are fearful of taking action.  The ability to “Just Do It” keeps us from our greatness.  Don’t think, just do it.

Tell people what actions to make and what steps to take when buying a home.  Trust me, you will earn and receive their respect.  You see simply telling people allows them to see your confidence.  They see it and believe it.  There is nothing we can’t do and achieve if you truly want it.  You are the Best!  Now Go Sell the World. www.CallWayneTurner.com

Wayne - Excellent suggestion.  It's hard to make a decision when there are so many great choices.  It's easy to stay the course, but  sometimes you need to step outside of the known and comfortable and be bold and try something new!  Something for me to put on my to-do list!

If we are not moving there is no direction.  We can correct if we find it to be wrong.  Nothing happens until we just do it.

Excellent, Wayne.  I've been that "I'm not sure what I'm going to get person," but I'll have to admit I'm pretty focused when it comes to business.  Great thoughts though.

Wayne, we need the confidence to be assertive.  Yes, there are risks but that's what life is.  As long as we do things with integrity then we can earn the respect and trust of our clients.

I'm very assertive when I order my food.  Not as much with my clients.  I guide, educate, and help.  It's been a very successful plan so far for me.

I love it when I get a call from a person who found my ad online and they say I need some advice I want to buy a home but am not sure where to start. Music to my ears.

You're right.  Just happened last night.  In a restaurant with friends and I already knew I was ordering the same thing I always order but of course had to ask the question, "what are you having".  Very observant.

Wayne, we love the analogy about ordering at a restaurant. Indecisiveness is a common ailment, and people need to be guided and told what to do when entering unfamiliar territory. We deal with similar issues with our clients. There's so much marketing potential out there today that in order for us to help each agent we work with, we have to confidently tell them which efforts to prioritize first. It's all about guidance. That's how you build trust and a positive working relationship with your clients. Great reminder!
