A New Twist on "You Make Me Sick"

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Marte Cliff Copywriting

We've all said it or at least thought it a time or two. When we encounter people who lie and cheat, it's a pretty standard reaction to say "You make me sick."

We all know that such behavior can adversely affect incomes for those "sickeningsick man people" as more and more people decline to do business with them.

But now, in a study I just came across this morning, it turns out  - they make themselves sick!  For real.

This is a short article, so take time to look and see what researchers found: Study: Telling Lies Makes You Sick

I'm not sure this study was long enough to produce significant results, but it's interesting that someone is trying to research this aspect of the mind-body connection.

Hi neighbor!  Well I always had the thought when dealing with individuals that are not honest that in the end they would get what they deserve so maybe it is true.....

Patsy - Hi yourself. Good to see a neighbor here! I've always believed that, even when people have said "But look how much money they're making!" Sometimes your misbahvior will catch up to you in other ways.

One of the greediest (dishonest) men I've ever known had a near-fatal heart attack at age 52 - in spite of doing all the proper diet, exercise, etc. He's got the money, but is constantly worried about living long enough to enjoy it.

I can believe that!  Lying causing stress and you'd always be on alert wondering if today was the day you get found out.  Because believe it or not, truth will always reveal itself.  Just don't lie!  It's that easy!

Yes, and if you tell the truth, you don't have to remember what you said!

Marte, Carrying the burden of not knowing which story you told would make you sick. Good post.

So, Marte~without EVEN READING THIS, I have a clear example of a realtor who is a consummate LIAR and was actually fired from my agency (for being unethical) long before I got there, but is still managing to get business (ARRGGGHH)...she now has MS (multiple sclerosis). What is ironic is that she can no longer talk clearly so she cannot verbally offer up the amazing amount of untruthes that she has gotten away with for so many years.

There IS a God.

Debbie - Yes, for sure. Trying to remember what you said and who you said it to... too much stress for me!

Gayle - Isn't that something. Sometimes retribution is swift.
