Go For Gold...a $3000 Golden Cocktail that is!

This fashionable club, Chinawhite, is located on Winsley Street, in the artsy community of Fitzrovia, in the heart of London. The club opened in 2009, a popular hangout and caters to celebrities and millionaire soccer players. The club offers fine dining with a modern Asian decor.

During the Olympics, Chinawhite Club is offering a special drink, the “Golden Cocktail” which in US currency sells for $3,178.48 but for all the Gold Metal Olympians, it is free. The nightclub’s clientele has many catered events so it is not as crowded and makes it a perfect place for the Olympians to celebrate with some privacy.

The drink contains Hennessy Paradis Imperial cognac, Luxor 24-carat gold leaf Champagne, plus a set of handmade 18-carat gold rings placed in the bottom of the glass.

Any Olympic athlete is allowed in the club, needing only to show his or her Games accreditation. Olympic champions also are handed a bottle of Moët & Chandon Champagne, with sparklers coming out the top, and the partying continues until around 4 a.m. nightly.

U.S. swimmer Tyler Clary, a professional DJ in the US, won his gold medal and set an Olympic record in the 200-meter backstroke. He headlined at Chinawhite last weekend as the DJ. Clary said it really didn’t seem like work and instead a great celebration for all of the Olympians including himself.
