Watching the Olympics for the past couple of weeks has given us a glimpse into the thought processes of athletes.

One of those was the most decorated swimmer ever, Michael Phelps.

His early performances this year were not what we had become used to seeing.

He seemed to be less interested in achieving.  What had changed?

As the events progressed it became obvious that he just did not want the wins as much as he had in the past.

He already had achieved great wealth and fame.  He had experienced the thrill of being the best. What possible difference could it make if he did not win anymore?

The world would still spin on its axis, the games would go on, people would still love him and his life would still be important even if he did not win.

Still, somewhere deep inside him was a deeply rooted work ethic and the desire to do his best.

When those feelings surfaced he was compelled to excel.  Excelling was what he required of himself and everyone who watched won!

It is the same for each of us every day.  We list and we sell knowing that what we do and how well impacts the people who count on us.

We press on to the goals one day at a time .  We do it because we want the thrill of success for us and all the potential buyers and sellers.

We give every transaction winning efforts.  Our work leads to one of the most basic freedoms we enjoy.  Home ownership is worthy of Olympic achievements.

Press on!

There have been many inspiring stories and moments in the Olympics. The commitment and hard work by so many of the athletes has just been amazing. All should get a metal just for participating, but only a few can accomplish that result.
