14 Comments on Practice Safe Boating & Water Activities in Marina Del Rey,CA
Endre - Wonderful pictures of a beautiful area.
I'm for safe boating as well. No keg stands on pontoon boats without at least two spotters.
Endre
Marina Del Rey is certainly a unique area, and knowing how to practice safe boating, and being aware of the rules and regulations has got to be important with so many boaters. Isn't this one of the largest marinas in the US? I heard there are over 5000 boats moored there.
Jeff
Paddle boarding is becoming an increasingly popular sport. We watch the boats go by both on the intracoastal and in the ocean. Great to be on the water.
Safety first!
Jason, I love your comments! ;)
Jason, yes one has to protect the Keg:))
Jeff it is the largest man made marina, yes there are over 5000 closer to 8000 boats:))
Erv, yes and we want to make sure you come out in one peace from the water:)
Laura, yes Jason is spot on:)))
Endre ... You are right about need for boaters and those who use our oceans, bays, and waterways here in Southern CA to be especially careful during the summer months.
Harrison, Indeed, one can not bee too careful it is worse than the freeways:)))
Endre your photos place me in a state of daydreaming about the ocean. This year there have been far too many boating accidents, so your advice is timely.
Jennifer it is a great Daydream for us it is 500 yards away! Yes it is critical to be careful I noticed it is worse than being on the freeway! there is so much traffic!
Endre, great reminders for water safety. Now, can I just jump right in and cool off in that wonderful water, please?
Juli, we are complaining it is too hot today in the Marina (75 degrees:)))
I can't imagine the huge cost to both life and boat if two of the luxury craft that cruise Marina del Ray collided. Thanks for the tips, Endre!
