40th Annual Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance

 Its’ that time of year when we all get to a take look at some of the best wooden boats in the country at the 40^th Annual Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance.

This will be your chance to see one of the largest collections of wooden boats on display at this years’ event.  There will be more than 80 featured boats, including the largest collection of Rivas ever gathered in the United States. 

If you’re boat lover, or someone just who appreciates fine workmanship and the art that comes from these beautiful wooden boats, you’ll enjoy the Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance.

Events start this Thursday evening, August 9, 2012 and run through Tuesday, August 14, 2012.  Check out the schedule of events:

Thursday, August 9, 2012 – Welcoming reception for registered guest at the Sierra Boat Company Showroom, Opening Night Dinner at the West Shore Café in Homewood, California $135/person

Friday, August 10, 2012 – The 40^th Annual Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance show opens 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Sierra Boat Company, Carnelian Bay, California One day ticket $25/person, two day ticket $35/person

40^th Annual Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance Awards ceremony and Exhibitors’ barbecue at 6 p.m. Adults $50/person Children $25/person

Saturday, August 11, 2012 – Show opens 10 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Sierra Boat Company, Carnelian Bay, California  At 4:00 p.m. Watch them roar off! One day ticket $25/person

Sunday, August 12, 2012 – Turner Play Time, Homewood, California Men’s Grill – noon $45/person

Ladies Luncheon, Lakefront at the Antles, Rubicon Bay, California $60/person   

Monday, August 13, 2012 – Riva Club USA circum-navigation of Lake Tahoe 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Event registration closed.

Tuesday, August 14, 2012 – Gatekeepers Museum, Tahoe City, California Mahogany Magic at 6:30 p.m. Enjoy an evening of fun, followed by a show of Wooden Boat week.  Bring an appetizer, salad, or dessert to share plus your own plates and utensils for your dinner.  You’ll also need to bring your own meat/fish/poultry to grill and a blanket for the show at dusk.  Cost is $25 per person.  TYC will provide wine, beer, and BBQ grill.  Prize for best decorated table.  Registration deadline is Friday, August 10, 2012.  For more information www.Tahoeyc.com/concours-d-elegance1.html
