The problem is TOO MANY people area leaving politics to the politicians and they are not EDUCATING themselves on the REAL issues and this includes real estate professionals.

Although most of us would prefer to focus upon business and leave politics to the politicians, we are nearing the the season when we will elect many of our local, state, and national "leaders," and I think it's appropriate to take some time and seriously consider the choices we make. Rather than base our opinions upon political ads, media stories, or the ramblings of our favorite pundits, we owe it to our communities and our nation to make informed choices.

The following blog post addresses some of the issues voters will face this fall:

As we near the November elections, serious voters want to know: Will either presidential candidate deliver on their promises? And the serious answer to that question is a resounding NO. While gullible voters from both major political parties seem determined to make certain their candidates win—although a large portion are unable to articulate why—regurgitating to the trite phrases fed by the puppet masters, the results of this election will, once more, fail to equal expectations. Emotions are continually being inflamed to: save the Republic, make those damned billionaires pay their “fair share,” or to create, save, or stimulate jobs—but the reality is that none of that will happen . . . at least not in sufficient numbers to make a difference.

What politicians and most voters seem to be ignoring is that the U.S. is on a collision course with disaster—truly a crisis of biblical proportions—and politicians and the electorate continue “whistling past the graveyard,” seemingly oblivious to the looming crisis.

Well let's look at our existing President. Did he keep the majority of promises that he made during is previous run? Are we better off with more of the same. Simple, not a chance!

Wallace, there are plenty of books out there that explain the path we are on.  It has been done before and we are doing it again, just like a playbook in sports.  Read Currency Wars or Endgame and you will want to shoot these guys instead of electing them.
