St  Clements Anglican Church in Leslieville is noted for its Victorian Gothic Revival architecture, and an institution of significance which has served it's community for over a century meeting their social and spiritual needs. It is yet another underfunded vacant Toronto Church sitting on a derelict lot that has been designated for redevelopment into boutique condo lofts.  The Church was designated as a heritage building since 2011. The past parish has a history that dates back to 1895 with a growing congregation, and the Church building on Jones Ave was conceived since 1910. However, by 2006, the shrinking congregation was forced to closure and the church building has been left vacant for several years. The church lands were acquired by the developer. Redevelopment may be a good thing, in the hopes that the glorious details will be restored and preserved. The building is declared as a building of cultural heritage value under the Ontario Heritage Act remains as a significant neighbourhood landmark.
