Prowl and Play

As the sun goes down, the zoo heats up with activities during Prowl and Play, a monthly summer promotion starting Saturday, June 9. Visitors can come to the zoo on the cheap ($8 rather than $18), pack a picnic dinner, play in the splash pads and roam the grounds at their own pace. Zookeepers will be stationed around the trails, hosting encounters with animals such as lizards, snakes, birds and hedgehogs.

With a new theme every month visitors can enjoy an Art walk , dining, shopping, activities, entertainment, and fun every 2nd Friday of the month. Held on Main Street between Center and Country Club. The information booth located on Main and Macdonald has a map of the evening's activities and locations.

Tovrea Castle Tour

Tours of the historic Tovrea Castle began on March 10, 2012.  Tours will last approximately 2 hours which will include the historic Castle's main floor and basement, extensive grounds and cactus garden surrounding the Castle.

Open year-round, this market offers items like pesticide-free, local produce from On the Vine Farm and Circle Key Farms. Grass-fed beef, all-natural pork, goat, eggs, raw honey, granola, hummus, baked treats and crafts from local artisans are also sold.

Cups for Pups

Help raise money for the Mayday Pitbull Rescue by sipping a beer and letting your pooch chill in a doggy swimming pool. Uncle Bear's in Chandler hosts the third annual Cups for Pups, a day of fundraising and awareness sponsored in part by the Arizona Bureau of the American Mustache Institute.
