Long Beach honors one of its heroes & a great man! “Mark Bixby”

Today will be the official dedication in honor of Mark Bixby. Today at 4:00pm, a stainless steel “wave” will be dedicated in front of the Long Beach Belmont Pool Plaza, and stand in memory of a prodigy leader; "Mark Bixby"! Mark has left footprints his family, friends, & Long Beach will never forget!

Mark Bixby lost his life unspeakably too early for his loved ones here on earth, although his life cut way too short in plane crash last year, Mark accomplished so many positive feats of service for his community, he’ll never be forgotten. The monument that’s being unveiled was a project Mark, and a local artist worked on together, the local artist Patrick Vogel, is now proudly displaying for all to see.

I personally feel so lucky to have enjoyed growing-up with Mark, Mark Bixby made my life better and even today he makes my life better! Mark Bixby always makes me want to be more active in community service, and keep a smile ready for action!

Today is a great day for the legacy of Mark Bixby, his family, Long Beach & me! Long Beach honors one of its heroes & a great man! “Mark Bixby”
