North Richland Hills TX Fireworks at NRH2O
The city of North Richland Hills is having fireworks at NRH2O on Sat August 11th 2012. NRH2O is probably my favorite place here in North Richland Hills, maybe even all of the DFW Mid-Cities area, especially during the summer! The heat here can get a little on the warm side and when the mercury is up there, I want to be cooling off.
Our family bought season tickets at the beginning of the season so th
at we could go at any time on any day. Not only does the park have kid splash zones and small slides and pools, but there are slides for the bigger kids and adults. I enjoy laying out in the NRH2Ocean wave pool where you don’t even realize it’s actually 108 outside. The park has shade everywhere so if you can’t get a spot under an umbrella or awning then you can set up a blanket on the 
grass areas and have your picnic lunches and naps.
The Splashatory is the biggest hit with our son. Now that he has experienced it all summer long he is pretty brave when it comes to going down the larger slides, waiting for the buckets to dump on his head and now he goes without mommy and daddy. We have been teaching him to swim in the lagoon pool where he spends countless hours jumping into the pool and playing in the waterfalls.
We’ve gone to several DiveIn movies where you pull up a chair to the wave pool and they begin playing a movie on a large screen over the water.
So tomorrow August 11 at 9pm they are having a fireworks show over the grounds. Sit in the wave pool and watch overhead as the show booms overhead.
Unfortunately the season for NRH2O is almost over. 
The last weekend is Labor day weekend, which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me since it’s still really warm into October…
So make sure you visit for tomorrow’s fireworks show, and next season get your season passes. Take care and have a wonderful weekend!
