Google will punish copyright violators by taking their page rank
Amy Jones has shared important information, with a link to a WSJ article in regard to copyright violations. In addition to possible looming legal issues, Google will now punish those who violate copyright laws. Everyone needs to refresh their knowledge of copyright infringement. Thanks to Amy for calling our attention to this article.
An article on the Wall Street Journal yesterday shared that Amir Efrati, one of Google's top search executives revealed in his blog that Google will now be taking into account the valid copyright removal notices that they receive on websites to determine website search placement. Which means that a site that is stealing other people's work may finally get their payback by watching their website fall in Google's page rank.
Google receives over a million copyright violation notices per week. I'm glad it's not my job to go through them.
