If you appreciate non-corporate (you know like Barnes and Nobles) local shops, Mockingbird Books should be the new hang out for you and your kids.  It is located within two blocks of the Greenlake Community Center.  My friend is a local elementary school teacher and she recommends this bookstore to the parents of her kindergarten children.

The Mockingbird Book staff such as René’s are knowledge and she has actually been nationally recognized n Children’s and Young Adult Literature.

If you don’t have kids, thats okay too.  Grab a coffee at Finch cafe and pick a great grown-up title.  This place is a lot of fun.

Fun Facts.  This bookstore used to be a Congregational Church that was built in 1921.

My name is Rachel Badgett and I am your real estate professional for the Greenlake area.  I live just a couple of blocks from Greenlake myself.  For more info about real estate contact Rachel Badgett at 206.745.2730 or email info@kwlisting.com.
