Amelia Earhart Elementary School supply list
Amelia Earhart Elementary School supply list will be shared with parents and students at back to school night on August 20, 2012 at 5:00 pm.
Amelia Earhart School is fortunate since the PTA, on behalf of all parents, contributes toward providing all school supplies at the beginning of each school year for each child. The supplies donated are only a small portion of what it takes to offer the quality and instructionally rich educational program that each Earhart students receives.
At Back to School Night each teacher will have a “Share the Support” board with supplies that each classroom needs. Additionally throughout the year, the teachers will ask parents to send in needed supplies. While it may look like each classroom is “well stocked” at Back to School Night, by January, many of those items have been totally depleted through daily use.
Amelia Earhart Elementary School is located on the peninsula called Bay Farm Island and was once an agricultural community. The school was building in 1979 with 300 students attending the first classes. Earhart was designated a California Distinguished School for 2004, 2008 and 2012. Earhart is located at 400 Packet Landing Road in Alameda.
Alameda is a lovely community with good schools, pristine sand beach, an historic movie theater, coffee shops and great restaurants. Alameda is a community of friendly neighborhoods, lush parks and playgrounds, water sports, the beach and lagoons. I write about events, businesses, restaurants and items of interest to Alamedans.
