Hi Mitchell,

Beautiful churches/cathedrals and it is nice you selected a variety of faiths. Thanks so much for sharing a part of the beauty of your city. I think I like the second one as the entryway is spectacular; I guess I think like a Realtor!.  I hope to go to New York next year and see it for myself.

Lets shake things up at your home today!

There are some gorgeous churches and cathedrals in Manhattan.  Mitchell, wasn't there a church on the Upper West Side that was under renovation for years?  Was it ever completed?

Hi Jeane and Ralph, Everyday I discover a new Church or temple with amazing architecture. The third one with the clock I discovered the other day walking home from a new listing. I called it East Village Clock Church because I didn't know it's name but today on my way to my open house I walked by. It is the "Most Holy Redeemer Church" built in 1866.

Hi Kristin, B'Nai Jeshurun has a gorgeous door. The Synagogue is actually small it's dome shaped and the congregation has grown over the last several years so they now also rent space from #1 The Church of St Paul and St Andrew, a Methodist Church for Shabbat services and the High Holy days. The Church was having financial hardship so now it has become an interfaith neighborhood church.

Hi Roger, #5 West Park Church was going to be demolished, then a condo was going to be built on top of it but last year the landmark preservation commission finally designated it a landmark so it can not be altered or razed.

Hi Hannah, I live in a blessed apartment,-) On the north side of my building is B'nai Jeshuran (the second oldest congregation in NY) on the south west corner is The Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew and on the north west side of my building is Saint Ignatious an Episcopal Church. No need for an alarm clock, I have church bells.

It's always nice to see pictures of local churches.  Was fortunate enough to see St. Patrick's with my own eyes years ago.

The architecture is amazing on those holy structures!  London is another city I've been to where churches seem to be on nearly every corner, right along with a same number of pubs:-)

The Church has always owned some of the best real estate ... everywhere. This is no exception and these buildings are absolutely amazing! Thanks for sharing these photos.

What a lovely group of historic churches! The only one I have been in is, of course, St. Patricks, on Fifth Avenue.
