With an amazing display of athleticism and patriotism drawing to an end in London for the 2012 Olympics, the rest of the world looks on in awe, amazement and admiration.
For anyone who has ever competed in a sport, you cannot help but be in a state of awe by what a competitive man or woman has accomplished that allowed them to be good enough, so good in fact, that they get to represent their country.
Each and every day, through the preliminaries and on through the eliminations and medal rounds, there are unending displays of amazing physical performance by olympic competitors that seemingly defy the boundaries of possibility.
And when all the medal rounds are done and our Olympians conclude this fantastic competition, the country will continue to look on in admiration for what has been accomplished individually and together by these athletes and patriots.
On any given day, these individuals set their feelings and concerns aside to head to their respective training facilities to practice. And practice they do. Over and over and over again, these athletes focus on their goal and they practice.
I only wonder what would happen if others who have a goal would commit to a level of practice Olympian style.
