HOW MUCH "SPORT" CAN A PERSON GET IN A WEEKEND???Gym

 


Friday -

The Olympics - Take your pick.  All day long and they're all champions - I can't believe Ysain Bolt.

Golf - Round two of the PGA Championship.   

Workout - Got in half my usual workout routine at the gym in Leesburg.

Skeet.  Shot (at) 50 Skeet birds at Bull Run. 

Baseball - The Washington Nationals (72/43) beat Arizona

 

Saturday -

The Olympics - All day long and they're all champions - The Ugandan Kiprotich won the Marathon handily.

Baseball - The Washington Nationals (72/43) beat Arizona

Golf.  Round three of the PGA Championship.

Sunday - Skeet Range

Skeet - Got in another 50 Skeet birds early.

The Olympics.  Watched the last quarter, USA playing in slow motion beat Spain for the GOLD.

Workout - Got in a good 1 1/2 hour hard workout at the gym.

Baseball.  Arizona beat the Nationals breaking a 7 game winning streak.  Oh well.

 

That was a great "sporting" weekend. 

Oh, I showed 8 homes in La Plata MD Saturday morning to a lovely couple.  I've sold them 2 homes already and this will be their second investment property.  More on our tour in another post.  Some very interesting observations.

Lenn * it is too hard to find the Olympics on Direct TV....PGA and NASCAR on Saturday and Sunday....Sundays NASCAR race was won by a Tasmanian and the PGA tourney by an Irishman....What a GREAT COUNTRY!

Wallace.  I have DirectTV and I agree it's often difficult but I managed.  Since it was on NBC, I had NBC, MSNBC and Channel 603 which was wall to wall olympics.

Lenn- just saw this.  it wasn't easy finding all of the different Olympic games on tv with the exception of soccer, track and swimming.  I caught some of the equestrian, a lot of swimming and gymnastics and about 5 minutes of archery and a sport that is probably one of the funniest I've seen in a long time.. speed walking!

Kathy.  I LOVED the speed walking. 

I think there is far too much coverage of the team sports, socker, field hockey, etc.  I prefer the individual performances of track, gymnastics, swimming, etc. 

I managed to "catch" about 2 minutes of Trap Doubles Shooting and it was spectacular to watch, then gone.

All in all, I watched a LOT of the events this year.
