Not all Olympic Sports are Team Sports but even those that are not team sports, still take a team for that individual to win the Gold at the Olympics.  

We do not become Gold Quality alone.  Life is bigger than we can take on alone if we want the Gold Medal in our accomplishments, especially in Real Estate.  

I am involved in each and every area of a transaction that our office is working on and even though it's just Don and I working out of our office, there's still a team working to get that transaction closed.  Surveyors, Title Companies, Attorneys, Lenders, we are all working toward the same thing, closing that transaction and closing it in a quality way - The Gold Medal.  

 

My goal to win more gold medals involves better technology for my office.  I keep improving the technology that we're working with, but just putting those gadgets in place does not bring the gold medal.  It takes learning to use those gadgets and specialty websites, just like the Olympic competitor must learn to use their area of competition's tools, or training equipment to reach their goals of a Gold Medal.  

 

I'm in the process of trying to find a newsletter service for our office.  I plan to have one in place for emailing and snail mailing by January 1, 2013.

 

In addition to that, I'm currently looking at Happy Grasshopper also.  it seems that Happy Grasshopper has good reviews and I read other agent's recommendations where they've received business from using Happy Grasshopper.  

  

I'm also have someone that is going to help me convert all of my stored dead files into digitial files.  I've purchased a new printer/scanner that is fast and does a wondeful job.  SO by January 1, 2013, I plan to have all "dead" files stored as digital files.  The technology is in place, now to get busy using it.  I believe a less cluttered work environment leads to better production and more efficiency.. especially when someone calls me and they need a copy of a settlement statement form three years ago.. it will be much easier to pull it up and email it from a digital file. 

I've recently started using Echosign and have used it on two transactions.  I am loving using esignatures for my contracts and transactions.  It was so much easier than I imagined it would be.  My plan is to use EchoSign for more and more things that need signatures.  It was just too easy, not to pursue it. 

 

It does seem strange to write about the Olympics, Gold Medals, Grasshoppers, Newsletters, Digital Signatures, Dead Files, and ease of accomplishment along with goals all in one blog post.

I do use Happy Grasshopper, and while it isn't a newsletter, it does keep me top of mind with previous clients about every three weeks with a non-real estate email.

You are so right that it takes a team to win the "gold."  My husband and I are a team, with Keller Williams Greater Cleveland West, but we run our business in our home office.  My husband and I divide our work so each is a specialist in different areas of the biz.  So we need each other for our biz to function and to win the "gold."
