Most of us are familiar with the bible story of Adam and Eve
Eve was tempted by Satan who found an entry into her mind--He offered her a way, she thought, to have even more than God had already provided. She ate the apple and gave her husband to eat.
Legitimate Needs Replaced by Lust for More
Both Adam and Eve disobeyed God's direct command. And the consequence was sin and death entered in and infected the entire future of the world. Their eyes, and passions and desires were set afire. Want and the never-ending need for more took hold. The belief that there would never be enough was afoot.
Sin reigned and spiritual death was the consequence.
The flesh cried out to be satisfied. Passions boiled and the first life was taken; then another and another--until we are, today at the point that with the simple push of a button most of the human population can be annihilated!
Why? Because one power wants to dominate another; another power is jealous of another and covets what they have.
People Laugh at This Story
The world mocks this bible story and calls it a myth. They'd rather read what Freud thought or seek out Dr. Phil or get Oprah's take on why the world is in such a mess.
