(This could be a post about writing headlines that get people clicking........and it is, but in a different way. We'll come back to the ridiculous statement in the title.....)
On Thursday at 9am Pacific time I'll be holding court for an ActiveRain University webinar where I'll review blog posts from our members. A number of weeks ago we had a contest where I challenged you to write hyper local posts. During the challenge we did a draft review class where I ripped apart blog posts from a few brave members of ActiveRain. In doing this, we were taking a look at some of the things people were doing that were great, but also some of the things people were doing that weren't so great......all with the aim of creating content designed in the best fashion to rank in the search engines.
Guess what.....we're doing it again.
Would you like to have your blog post reviewed? Sign up for the class, then email me a link to your post. (my email address is on the sign up page for the webinar) I won't be able to review them all, but we'll definitely take a look at 4 or 5 posts and break them down based on what you've learned in our SEO class.
(You have taken the SEO class, right? If your answer is no, you should clear out an hour sometime before writing your next post and watch it via the link above. It will be the best hour you've spent on AR and unquestionably put you in a better position to write your next blog post........but only if your goal is to reach more consumers with your content.)
Since you are already writing content, with the aim of getting consumers to find you, why not make sure you are doing it the correct way. Maybe you are missing the boat altogether and wondering to yourself....'self, why is my blog not raining prospects and delivering quality leads to my doorstep?'. If that's you, then this is the class for you.
Or, maybe you are wondering 'self, where can I find a hilarious, brilliant, good looking guy who will be online hosting a webinar on Thursday August 16th from 9am to 10am Pacific time'. If that's you, just keep on moving, there is nothing to see here!
None of those things describe me, but I've gotten pretty good over the years at helping people tweak their content to get it ranking better in the search engines. And while I can't promise you 1000% increase (I just did that to get you to click on this post) in the amount of traffic your blog posts get, I'm very confident I can share a few things to get you ranking a little better and possibly taking a better approach to your blog in general. The last time we offered the class we had a number of long time ActiveRain members comment that it was one of the better classes they've taken as it relates to improving their blog posts. I'd love to have you thinking something similar Thursday after class.
(I must have been out sick that day and someone smarter than me must have been teaching the class. I'll see if I can figure out who that was and get them to make an appearance on Thursday, haha!)
