I agree to what?

Reblogger Charita Cadenhead
Real Estate Agent with eXp Realty

This is just too funny not to reblog.  Wait until you get to the meat of this post, you'll simply shake your head at the lengths that some agents (or showing services) go through to convince themselves that they've come up with a trailblazing solution to an ongoing problem.

stopFeedback has come up again and again as a topic on Active Rain over the years. Agents either do, or don’t provide feedback, and frankly...I don’t think anyone’s minds have been changed by any of the arguments offered here. Personally, sometimes I do, and sometimes I don’t, depending on my mood.

With that in mind, I made an appointment to show a property last week through the showing service. I was sort of half listening to the instructions when she said, “by showing this property, you hereby agree to provide feedback to the listing agent.” Huh...you want to run that by me again.

I’m familiar with instructions for taking your shoes off, and don’t let the cat out, turn off all lights, don’t lock the deadbolt, but requiring me to provide feedback...I don’t think so.

I love these rogue agents who make up their own rules. Did I provide feedback? I wasn't in the mood.

Charissa, this is too much... and what will the agent do if you don't provide a feedback?.... Love it and thanks for sharing!

Feedback is so important to help with price concerns. condition and any other problem that prospective buyers continually point out. Sellers are anxious to hear about showing results.  Our office does accompanied showings so we can provide that feedback. It's an important courtesy. BUT we communicate with the agents-not showing services.

Good morning, Charita..... reading that is enough reason NOT to provide feedback...... why does he need it anyway?? he knows why his overpriced house is just sitting there!!

Monique I'd like to know the answer to that same question.

Janis, yeah right.  I'll bet that agents took the same stance as Richard......"not in the mood."

Barb I agree that feedback is important, but coersion never works.

Barbara leave it to you to extend the humor.  Nobody can argue with you there.
