The 2012 - 2013 Oxford school district calendar is now available. All elementary schools, middle oxford school district calendarschools and high schools start classes on 09/04/2012.

The school supply list below covers all grades from kindergarten through 5th grade.

(If interested in purchasing supplies in addition to what we supply)

 

Kindergarten

 Large backpack, 2 boxes of tissue, scissors, 2 boxes of 8 LARGE Crayola crayons, 2 Clorox or Lysol wipes, dry erase markers, twistables and $18.00 for “Short Books” (23 take-home sight word books). A copy of your child as a toddler, (age between 1 & 2 yrs)

1st Grade

 Large backpack, 1 box of sixteen Crayola crayons, scissors, dry-erase markers, 4 glue sticks, 1 sturdy folder, tennis shoes for gym to be kept at school, Kleenex, Lysol or Clorox wipes.

2nd Grade

 Backpack without wheels, Kleenex (2), Clorox or Lysol wipes (2), sticky notes (2X2), 1 box of crayons or colored pencils, 3 folders with pockets, 1 spiral notebook, scissors, 8 glue sticks, #2 pencils, pencil tip erasers, 3 black dry erase markers (low odor) & eraser, pencil box, personal pencil sharpener with cover, and gym shoes (may be left at school). No trapper keepers, pens or markers.

3rd Grade

 Composition notebook, scissors, two boxes of crayons (24 ct.), colored pencils, four black dry-erase markers, one highlighter, 6-10 glue sticks, medium pencil box, plenty of #2 pencils, two boxes of tissues, Clorox wipes.

4th Grade

 Large backpack, box of tissue, five pocket folders without prongs, ruler, glue sticks, scissors, Clorox wipes, crayons or colored pencils, 1 highlighter, 3 or more dark dry-erase markers, Composition Notebook, Three-ring Binder (at least 1-1/2”) or Trapper-Keeper.

5th Grade

 Six pocket folders, highlighters, colored pencils, one pack of colored sharpie markers, thin tipped markers, two standard sized composition notebooks, four glue sticks, one ream of brightly colored computer paper (not construction paper), scissors, one container of Clorox wipes, one box of tissue, Sticky Notes (approx. 3”X3”).

Please label all desk supplies clearly with your child’s name

All supplies listed are suggested only, and not mandatory. Other items that are greatly appreciated include, oxford school district calendarhand sanitizer and baby wipes/Clorox wipes for quickly cleaning desks.

* Due to increasing experiences with students tripping and causing injury, we are discouraging the use of backpacks with wheels.
