Sometimes The Error is the Best Result....

We have all heard many times that practice makes perfect. Darcy and I pride ourselves on our ability to correctly use our cameras, whether they are the Nikon DSLR or the ones on our phones. The other day, I tooks some photos with my phone of how much rain had fallen as the water was rushing down the gutter past our car tires and in place over the curb. This is a photo that I was going to discard, but the more I examined it, the better I liked it. It is very abstract, and I will be honest with everyone, I wish that I could say that it was something more than an unintended photo.

It looks like a nice watercolor to me:-) Interestingly enough, there have been a few shots I have taken over the years that have had similar result. I remember taking a picture of a hanging origami dove at a church crab feed a couple of years ago. I somehow moved the lens when someone bumped into me, and the lights suspended on the wire along with the dove made a fantastic twirling motion, that was all caught on the picture. It's one of my favorite photos.
