Staging your Burlington Home? Don't be afraid to discuss budget.

Home Stager

If you are about to put your Burlington home on the Market, make sure you prepare if for sale properly. Get a Staging Consult to help you design your plan of attack.

This will mean you do not waste your time and money. It will help you prepare your home for the right type of buyer. The buyer looking for your home.

Most sellers have a set budget to work with, so make sure you discuss it with your Stager. Be open and up front about any time, monetary or physical limitations you have.

As a Burlington Stager, I am used to working within limits. When I know the budget for the project, I can create a plan within those limits.

There are many levels of Staging for each home. If given a budget, a Stager can let you know what type of Staging will fit within that budget.

We can tell you how many rooms can be Staged and at what level.

In a vacant space, we can tell you how many rooms can be done fully Staged and how many rooms can be done with small vignettes.

The Staging proposal will let you know the cost of rentals and staging hours.

Don't waste your time or the Stager's time getting a proposal for Staging work, only to realize it will be over budget.

Start with your budget and go from there. Find out what your budget will give you.

Help your Stager help you.

Great point....don't waste time....discuss budget first and then the stager can better allocate the funds!

Janice - This is an excellent point.  There are many levels of staging.  It's amazing what can be accomplished even with a tight budget.

Sally, I deal with so many DIY  sellers. If they let me know their budget I can tailor my recommendations. Realtors would also help things along if they stated their budget. It can be so frustrating to work up a proposal only to have the client shocked at the cost. If I know their budget I can let them know quickly what can be done within those parameters.

Janice, great post! People have to spend some money on Staging, but the amount can be tailored to them!

That's right Peg. If a seller starts with their budget then we can tell them what is available much easier and faster.
