Furniture Share Making a Difference

Ever heard of Furniture Share? They are doing something really cool that solves a couple problems:

1. Unused/unwanted furniture which is perfectly good ends up in landfills.

2. Families in our area do not have basic furniture items for healthy, comfortable lives.

If you are one of those people who enjoys purging your home of unwanted items and are guilty of the ease of just taking it all to the dump, read further to learn how one more trip or a simple phone call to arrange pick up could make a big difference in the lives of fellow community members.

Furniture Share is always in high demand of clean, useable furniture and household items to redistribute to families and individuals in need. They serve an average of 100 individuals per week, providing them with basic and essential household items.

Furniture - Mattresses & Box springs (especially twin and full sizes), Dressers, Night stands, kitchen table and chairs, sofas, loveseats, recliners, LR chairs, coffee & end tables, shelves, small desks and lamps, etc.

Kitchen ware - Dishes, glasses, pots & pans, silverware, cooking utensils, baking pans, casserole dishes, dish racks, toasters, coffee makers blenders toaster ovens, microwave ovens, etc.

Basic Household items - Sheets, Blankets, Towels, Sleeping Pillows, Mirrors, Fans Space Heaters, Mops, Brooms & Vacuum Cleaners, TV's, Radios, Alarm Clocks, Irons, Telephones and Garbage Cans, etc.

Your willingness to bring the items to their warehouse location reduces our operating costs considerably

Furniture Share is happy to schedule your donation pick up for a service fee of $10.00 in Corvallis and $15.00 in Albany payable at the time of pick up. This service fee is to help offset transportation/fuel costs. To schedule a pick up please call 541-754-9511.
